Where can I watch The Gifted online in Australia

Olivia Harris 4 October 2017 NEWS

Super-powered mutants are coming to the small screen with Marvel’s The Gifted. Fans of the universe can find where to watch online in Australia here.

UPDATE: We've spoken a Foxtel's customer service representative and they have informed us that Foxtel currently has no plans to host The Gifted during its season's run. The first episode of The Gifted appears to be available on the US iTunes, but not in Australia. Alternatively, you can use a VPN to dodge FOX's geoblocking and stream the first episode straight from the source.

What is The Gifted?

When you take a handful of classic X-Men characters and a family on the run from an overbearing government power, things are going to get intense. The Gifted is a new story independent from the X-Men movies or any specific X-Men story arc from the comics that builds it's own premise from the ground up using several iconic characters.

Surprisingly for an X-Men television show, the focus is not on the larger than life heroes from the X-Men series or their amazing mutant powers but instead on wanting you to care about these people as just that, people.

The series begins with Andy Strucker (Percy Hynes White) being bullied at a school dance when in a moment of stress and vulnerability his latent mutant powers manifest to protect him, but also bring down the entire school gym. Thankfully his older sister Lauren Strucker (Natalie Alyn Lind) is also a mutant as is able to protect the students from falling debris and rush her younger brother out into the night. The children and their lawyer father (True Blood's Stephen Moyer) are forced to flee underground where they make an unlikely alliance with some classic X-Men heroes, Polaris, Firebird, Eclipse and Blink.

The Gifted premiers on October 2nd, 2017, on FOX in America. No Australian release date as of yet, but stay tuned for an update and where to watch The Gifted online.
