How to watch Sydney Swans vs Collingwood Magpies AFL live and match preview
The Swans can cement their spot in the AFL's top 8 when they take on the wounded Magpies.
The Swans (5-3 record) went mighty close last week to becoming the first team to knock off the Demons this season, going down by just nine points. Going into round nine, they are one of four teams bunched in the top eight with five wins for the year.
With one-third of the regular season gone, the Magpies are stuck down the wrong end of the ladder with a 2-6 record, including their win over bottom side North Melbourne last weekend.

Swans vs Collingwood match preview
Nothing much is going right for the Magpies. Taylor Adams rejected reports of a strained relationship with star teammate Jordan De Goey, although coach Nathan Buckley did concede words have been spoken about the small forward.
High-flying defender Jeremy Howe will also miss most of the season after re-aggravating a hamstring injury. It doesn't get any easier after this, with MCG games against Port Adelaide and Geelong to come.
On the bright side, Darcy Moore's return to defence proved a success against the Kangaroos. Jordan Roughead and Nathan Murphy will miss the game against the Swans, due to the AFL's mandatory 12-day concussion rest.
Losing key defender Roughead is a huge blow for the Magpies, especially if Swans superstar forward Lance Franklin plays as expected in front of an adoring home crowd. Sydney skipper Dane Rampe will have a tough assignment stopping De Goey, who booted six goals against the hapless Roos.
Recent clashes between these teams have often been decided by less than a goal. But the Magpies are missing too many key personnel to trouble the Swans. We're tipping Sydney by more than 24 points.
