The Roosters will be out to keep proving they can manage without Luke Keary when they take on the hungry Sharks at the SCG.

SUMMARY: Roosters vs Sharks is exclusive to Fox League. If you already subscribe to Foxtel, you're good to go. If not, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. Watch for free using this 14-day trial.

The third-placed Roosters face a testing few weeks ahead after they play Cronulla. With games against top guns Melbourne Storm and Parramatta coming up and a mounting injury toll, it will give an indication of the club's depth.

The Sharks are lurking just inside the top eight. If they can upset the Roosters they have winnable games against Newcastle and the Bulldogs before taking on benchmark teams the Storm and Panthers.

Roosters vs Sharks kick-off time

This match at the Sydney Cricket Ground starts at 7:35pm AEST on Saturday 10 April.

Roosters vs Sharks NRL match preview

Roosters vs Sharks: Winning streaks

The Roosters have two of the best attacking weapons in the competition. Backs Brett Morris (9) and skipper James Tedesco (7) have scored 16 tries between them, more than the totals of 10 NRL teams going into round 5. The Sharks meanwhile have scored 16 tries in total.

Sitili Tupouniua and Josh Dugan must pass concussion protocols to play for the Roosters and Cronulla, respectively. Sharks centre Jesse Ramien returns from suspension. Their fullback Will Kennedy has also been on fire this season, scoring five tries from four matches.

We're tipping the Roosters here but we expect a tight game. The tricolours' teenage halfback Sam Walker has proven he belongs in first grade after his impressive debut against the Warriors.

These teams also tend to produce winning streaks in their recent match-ups. The Roosters have won five straight against Cronulla dating back to 2017. Yet prior to that, the Sharks claimed six consecutive victories over a four year stretch.
