Rabbitohs vs Tigers pits two teams together heading in opposite directions so far in 2021. South Sydney are riding a four-game winning run that has carried them to third on the ladder. Despite his uncertain future, half Adam Reynolds has been superb to date.

The Tigers meanwhile are leaking far too many points, conceding an average of 35 in their 4 losses this season to rank 13th in defence. Even in their only win, against the Knights, they surrendered 20 points.

Souths vs Wests Tigers match preview

We just can't see the rampant Rabbitohs losing this match, especially with gun playmaker Cody Walker back from suspension. The combinations he forms with Reynolds, hooker Damien Cook and in-form fullback Latrell Mitchell have been tearing opposition defences apart for the past four weeks.

Reynolds is also likely to get the better of opposition half Luke Brooks, judging by their comparative seasons to date. Reynolds leads the way in tries (3-0), try assists (7-1), line-break assists (3-0) and offloads (6-1). Brooks is among the Tigers under the most pressure due to such an uninspiring start to the year.

Rabbitohs vs Tigers - NRL stats that matter
Tigers coach Michael Maguire has dumped hooker Jacob Liddle as he tried to revitalise his side, blooding Jake Simpkin instead. Former Eel Stefano Utoikamanu also comes into the starting side at the expense of prop Zane Musgrave.

Yet we don't think these changes will be enough for the Tigers to be competitive. The Rabbitohs are running hot in attack and the Tigers are weak in defence, a combination that points squarely to a comfortable win by the Bunnies.
