Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs

The strangest AFL season on record continues with Port against the Bulldogs in a Monday night opening to round 10. This is how you can watch.

SUMMARY: Power vs Bulldogs is exclusive to Fox Footy. So unless you're already an existing Foxtel customer, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day free trial. This gets you access to all its unique features and 50 additional live sports.

As the AFL does its best to cram the 2020 season into a limited time frame due to the pandemic, round 10 will be held from Monday to Friday this week. That's right, zero weekend games for the round and four teams are having a bye, partly due to quarantine requirements.

It opens with ladder leaders Port Adelaide hosting the eighth-placed Western Bulldogs. Port bounced back from an upset loss to St Kilda with a strong win over Melbourne last time out. The Dogs need to recover from their heavy defeat to Richmond as their finals hopes flicker.

When is Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs?

Adelaide Oval is the scene for this clash, with the opening bounce set for 7:10pm AEST on Monday 3 August.

How to watch Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs

As AFL fans would be aware, the broadcast of games in Australia are split between Channel 7 and Foxtel. The matches chosen vary from state to state. For the Power vs the Bulldogs, if you live in South Australia you can watch live on free-to-air television. But if you live anywhere else in the country, you need to sign up to a subscription service.

Foxtel iQ, Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports are your only options outside South Australia to catch this top-eight showdown. From those choices, our pick is Kayo, which has access to every game in every round in 2020 and much more. There is also Watch AFL if you are overseas.

Who will win Port Adelaide vs Western Bulldogs?

Port's six-goal defeat to the Saints a fortnight ago had many questioning their position atop the AFL ladder. The Power responded well against a poor Demons side, but still have some doubters about their true premiership credentials. The Bulldogs have been an even tougher side to read in 2020. Able to beat anyone when at their best, they are also capable of worrying lapses which is why their play-off position is extremely vulnerable. We're leaning towards a narrow Port win here.
