Can Essendon bounce back from a devastating 1-point loss last week to upset flag fancies Port Adelaide?

SUMMARY: Bombers vs Power is only on Fox Sports outside of South Australia. If you already subscribe to Foxtel you're good to go, if not your best option is to stream live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial.

The Bombers will be shattered after dominating the first half against Hawthorn last weekend and building a 39-point lead, only to be run down and lose by a point. Essendon coach Ben Rutten will be looking for a response after such a gut-wrenching defeat.

As expected, the Power were far too classy for an outgunned Kangaroos last weekend. Former Bomber Orazio Fantasia was fantastic, booting four goals in his Port Adelaide debut. Travis Boak also dominated for the Power with 21 disposals and a goal.

When is Port Adelaide vs Essendon?

The opening bounce of Port vs Essendon is at 4:05pm ACDT (4:35pm AEDT) at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 27 March.

Port Adelaide vs Essendon match preview

We're expecting the Power to win this clash easily. Coach Ken Hinkley is "bullish" about the prospects of young whippet Connor Rozee returning from foot surgery. He will add even more pace to a side already boasting electrifying speed. Hinkley will also demand a better start against Essendon after a poor first quarter last week against North Melbourne.

The Bombers may find it tough to bounce back from the Hawks defeat against a Power side boasting superior speed and skill. Essendon really must be bereft of confidence. Picking up just one win and a draw from their final 10 matches in 2020, this season hasn't started any better. The Bombers could be ripe for the picking against the well-oiled Power.
