How to watch Port Adelaide Power vs Adelaide Crows AFL live and match preview
The Crows welcome back skipper Rory Sloane for a critical Showdown 49 against Port this weekend.
Showdown 49 is a crucial match for these teams after both suffered defeats last weekend. The Power (5-2 record) will be looking to cement their top-four status, while the Crows (3-4) have an opportunity to break into the top eight.
Port have been accused of being flat-track bullies, dominating the lower-ranked sides but struggling against the AFL heavyweights. They are expected to beat the Crows, then can help dispel that theory when they take on the Western Bulldogs the following round.
When is Port Adelaide vs Adelaide Crows?
Showdown 49 begins at 7:10pm local time (7:40pm AEST) at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 8 May.

Port vs Crows match preview
Crowd restrictions have been eased for Showdown 49, meaning a full capacity of fans can sing the traditional spine-tingling "Never Tear Us Apart" for Port home matches at the derby.
Adelaide will be boosted by the return of Sloane from an eye injury (detached retina). The 31-year-old's likely inclusion is massive for the Crows, who are trying to snap a 3-match losing streak.
Just like it was documented last season in Amazon Prime doco Making Their Mark, the Crows need Sloane desperately to help their young side. They're coming off their worst performance of the season, a 67-point thumping at the hands of the Giants.
The Power are hoping to have their former skipper Travis Boak back from a thigh injury. They sorely missed the veteran warrior in their loss to the Lions last weekend. Charlie Dixon has been under the microscope after kicking just 10 goals from 7 games this season. Look for him to click into gear soon. We're predicting Port to win by 17 points.
