Panthers vs Sharks match preview
Both teams are coming into the match in great form. The Sharks are currently 5 on the trot, knocking over finals contenders the Storm and Cowboys along the way. Meanwhile, the Panthers are on a run of 8 victories in a row, a feat made even more impressive as it came during the State of Origin season when their big guns were usually unavailable.
When these 2 teams met last year, they were vastly different games. The Sharks edged out the Panthers by 1 point in their last encounter. But the time before that, the Panthers managed to completely shut out the Sharks to the tune of 48–0. After the Panthers and then the Bunnies next week, the only potential finals candidate the Sharks could face in the run home are the Sea Eagles. A win here would give them a solid footing to entrench themselves in the top 4.
