North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Carlton Blues

Free-falling North Melbourne take on Carlton at the Gabba in round 8 on Saturday. This is how to watch.

North Melbourne enjoyed some optimism and even talk of potential finals football after winning their first two games of the season. Since then it has all gone south quickly, with the Kangaroos currently stuck on a five-game losing streak.

They take on a Carlton side that is being hailed for its gradual return to prominence. The Blues lost to ladder-leaders Port Adelaide with a kick after the siren last weekend. But their improvement is clear and if they prolong North's pain they could be in the AFL's top eight.

When is North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Carlton Blues?

The opening bounce is at 1:05pm AEST at The Gabba in Brisbane on Saturday 25 July. It is the first of three matches on Saturday in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide.

Who will win North Melbourne vs Carlton?

The situation has all turned sour very quickly for North Melbourne. It has even led to question marks over fledgling coach Rhyce Shaw, who surely needs more time to try to build his own list. There is plenty more excitement at Carlton, a sleeping giant in the AFL. We expect the Blues to win this one comfortably.
