This is only the third MotoGP season opener held in Europe in more than 3 decades.
The wait has been long but the new MotoGP season is finally upon us, kicking off in Portugal.
It's shaping up to be a packed opening weekend, with the MotoGP calendar starting in Europe for the first time since 2006.

When is the MotoGP Portugal?
The Portugal MotoGP or Grande Prémio Tissot de Portugal will be held at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve from Friday 24 to Monday 27 March AEDT.
The main race kicks off on Monday 27 March at 12am AEDT.
