Hawthorn face the toughest challenge in AFL as they attempt to bring down the rampaging Demons this week.

SUMMARY: Melbourne vs Hawthorn is on Fox Footy, meaning unless you're already subscribed to Foxtel's Sport pack, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial. This gets you access to all its unique features and 50 additional live sports.

Melbourne Demons have now won 13 consecutive games as they show no signs of a premiership hangover whatsoever. The latest triumph was an inaccurate 22-point win over Richmond in the Anzac Eve clash.

Hawthorn Hawks sit at 3-3 and have shown terrific signs for the future. Last week they led for much of the day against Sydney before being swamped in the last quarter.

When is Melbourne vs Hawthorn?

This clash is on Saturday 30 April in the twilight timeslot of 4:35pm AEST at the mighty MCG.

Melbourne vs Hawthorn match preview

Melbourne's lead up to this clash has been impacted by COVID with coach Simon Goodwin sidelined with the virus, along with a handful of players including young star Luke Jackson.

The pleasing news for the Demons is that fill-in coaches have won all 5 matches this year when the senior coach has been away.

Melbourne don't need too many good luck charms at the moment though and despite the Hawks' improvement we think they'll be too strong here and extend their unbeaten start to 7.
