Liverpool have stumbled in the last few weeks and they'll need a victory when they host in-form Arsenal in the Premier League.

Liverpool suffered their first defeat in any competition this year when they went down 3-2 to an impressive West Ham United at their last hit-out a fortnight ago. The loss dropped them down to fourth on the table, but they still boast the second best goal difference in the Premier League at +20.

Arsenal made a slow start to their season but have started motoring with 3 straight wins. This has seen them climb up to the edge of the top 4 and victory in this clash would see them replace Liverpool.

Who will win Liverpool vs Arsenal?

It's reasonable to suggest one side needed the break last week while the other did not. Liverpool were starting to feel the pinch of a demanding campaign and had battled in consecutive Premier League fixtures whereas Arsenal were flying with 3 straight wins and 8 games unbeaten.

Up front, Emile Smith-Rowe has had the Midas touch for Arsenal, scoring in each of their last 3 games. The heavy schedule is taking its toll on Jürgen Klopp's men with Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mané returning from international duty with knocks and in doubt for this match.

Ultimately though Liverpool have on the most part been immense this season. We still feel they can produce a level of football higher than that of Arsenal. At home we predict a 2-1 victory.
