How to watch Sydney Ashes Test Australia vs England online live

With the Ashes retained, Australia sets its sights on a series whitewash ahead of the Fourth Test in Sydney.

SUMMARY: The Fourth Ashes Test is on Channel 7 and Fox Cricket. You can watch for free on Channel 7 or you can watch and get a load of special features for free on Kayo Sports using this 14-day trial.

England's miserable tour of Australia went from bad to, well, catastrophic in Melbourne. The tourists are breaking all kinds of records this summer, none of which they'd have hoped for. The Ashes were lost in 12 days, 2 less than England spent in quarantine after arriving in Australia.

And so, England heads into the Sydney Test hoping and praying something good might come out of this exercise.

Australia, meanwhile, is having a grand old time. So good, in fact, even its shaky batting can be glossed over. And so good the man of the match from the Third Test, Scott Boland, was in a battle to retain his spot for Sydney. In the end Boland, who took 6 for 7 in England's second innings, kept his place in the team.

When is the Sydney Ashes Test?

The Fourth Test will run from 5-9 January and is being held at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Sadly bad weather is predicted in Sydney for much of the Test, but play is scheduled to start at 10:30am AEDT on each of the 5 days.

Teams for Sydney Ashes Test

Australia XI: Pat Cummins (c), Steve Smith, David Warner, Marcus Harris, Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja, Cameron Green, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon

England XI: Joe Root (c), Jos Buttler, Haseeb Hameed, Zak Crawley, Dawid Malan, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Mark Wood, James Anderson, Jack Leach

Who will win the Sydney Ashes Test?

This stat might just show the huge gulf in performance between Australia and England this series. Ducks: England, 11, Australia, 1.

Josh Hazlewood failed his fitness race, gifting MCG hero Boland another opportunity. Usman Khawaja has also earned a recall in place of a Covid-hit Travis Head.

Of most interest now, for Australian fans at least, is whether the Aussies can win all 5 Tests and claim just the fourth series whitewash in Ashes history. It would be a brave call to bet against it.
