The FA Cup has a new home in Australia, giving football fans new ways to live stream the semi-finals and final.

Update: We have a dedicated article for the FA Cup final here.

Big news for football fans in Australia with word that, effective immediately, ESPN has acquired the rights to broadcast the Emirates FA Cup.

Two ESPN channels are available in Australia via the traditional Foxtel IQ "wired" pay TV experience and the Foxtel Now and Kayo Sports live streaming services.

The nuts and bolts of the announcement will see this season's FA Cup semi-finals and final broadcast on ESPN into Australia via Foxtel. We'll then see a further 79 games from the 2019/20 FA Cup.

This adds even more depth to the 50 different sports Kayo and Foxtel already broadcast live.

While Foxtel IQ and Foxtel Now will already be familiar to Australian sports fans, Kayo Sports is the new surprise packet of 2019. It effectively extracts the 13 biggest sports channels from Foxtel's premium Sports Pack add-on, then places them in their own live-sport-focused app. This includes live sport, on-demand content, documentaries and all the supplementary programming (such as chat, entertainment and pre/postgame shows).

This sports streaming service is available on iOS, Android, Mac and PC, or on your TV via Android TV, Telstra TV, Apple TV and ChromeCast. It costs $25 per month and allows for 2 simultaneous live sports streams. It has a 14-day free trialas well, which is easy to access and cancel if you want to test the experience. In addition to the FA Cup, there are another 50 sports to indulge in, too.

Other than pulling Australia's best sports content out of the broader non-sporting content provided via Foxtel, Kayo Sports also brings with it a stack of exclusive (and excellent) game-specific features. This includes SplitView (watch four sports at once), being able to hide scores with No Spoilers, jumping to Key Moment, RaceView (choose your camera) and more. Head across to our detailed Kayo Sports review to get the full skinny.
