Collingwood will be keen to consolidate their place in the top 8 when they host the Gold Coast this week.

SUMMARY: Collingwood vs Gold Coast is only on Fox Footy except in Queensland. So unless you're already an existing Foxtel customer with the Sport pack outside of the sunshine state, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial.

Collingwood Magpies are on the short back up after their stirring Anzac Day win over Essendon. The victory was built on the back of excellent conversion, but it did come at a cost with Brodie Grundy going down with a knee injury.

The Gold Coast Suns were outgunned by a powerful Brisbane Lions team, but have shown generally positive form in their other matches this season.

Collingwood vs Gold Coast match preview

Collingwood have moved to 3-3 on the season, and with a healthy percentage they find themselves in the top 8. Brodie Grundy and Nathan Kreuger going down with injuries does hurt them though, but what it will do is provide a reprieve for Mason Cox.

The big man will now have the challenge of partnering with Darcy Cameron to guide their ruck.

The Suns are building a reasonable core and with the likes of Jarrod Witts guiding them in the middle, they will fancy their chances. They actually won this corresponding fixture last year and will go mighty close in this one.

We think the Magpies might just shade them in a tight contest.
