How to watch Collingwood Magpies vs Sydney Swans AFL live and free

Posted: 6 August 2020 12:29 pm

A Collingwood side seemingly in free-fall needs to stem the tide against the Swans at the Gabba. This is how you can watch.

SUMMARY: Magpies vs Swans is exclusive to Fox Footy outside of NSW and ACT. So unless you're already an existing Foxtel customer, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch AFL free using this 14-day trial. This gets you access to all its unique features and 50 additional live sports.

The 2020 AFL season is in danger of slipping away from Collingwood. Early frontrunners and premiership hopefuls, defeats to GWS and Essendon began their slide. Following consecutive losses to West Coast and Fremantle they are now outside the top eight.

For the Swans, this season is firmly about developing young talent. A four-game losing streak between rounds four and seven ended any finals hopes. Coach John Longmire has largely used 2020 as a chance to give his squad a taste of senior football as they build towards the future.

When is Collingwood Magpies vs Sydney Swans?

The opening bounce is at 5:40pm AEST at the Gabba in Brisbane on Thursday 6 August. We've got the entire AFL draw available for you too.

Who will win Pies vs Swans?

Where has it all gone wrong for Nathan Buckley and the Pies? Strong victories over Hawthorn and Geelong seemed to have them back on track, but back-to-back defeats to the West Australian clubs since then have proven costly. We do expect them to bounce back with a comfortable victory over the fledgling Swans in Brisbane. But if they don't they can just about kiss 2020 goodbye.
