Citizen Rose kicked off in January and is available to stream via hayu and Foxtel Now.

Rose McGowan was one of the first women to publicly speak out against Harvey Weinstein. She helped ignite a cultural revolution by addressing sexual abuse and harassment in Hollywood. Now, you can go behind the scenes and see what led the actress to take a stand.

In the span of 10 days, McGowan was arrested, met with former President Barack Obama, and became one of TIME Magazine's “People of the Year”. All while navigating the minefield of those trying to silence her. For the first time, thanks to the Citizen Rose docu-series, we can figure out what was going on during that tumultuous time from her point of view.

McGowan’s project reflects dramatically changing times. Viewers follow her as she gives a glimpse into her world – a world where showing courage in the face of adversity in only the first step in a fascinating journey. During the documentary, McGowan will process, almost in real time, the massive social change she has helped usher in. Viewers can see what it’s like to fight back, with both grace and ferocity, against those who have hurt so many.

Where to watch Citizen Rose

If you have a Foxtel subscription, you can tune in for Citizen Rose on Wednesday 31 January, on E! Entertainment. The first part of this powerful docu-series will air at 12pm and 7:30pm.

The first two-hour episode of Citizen Rose will also be available to stream on hayu, same day as the US. You can watch or even download the two-hour premiere on 31 January, with further episodes scheduled to drop on the reality streaming service in coming months.
