Chelsea vs Southampton Carabao Cup fourth round prediction

Chelsea's stellar October

This is the second meeting between the teams in recent weeks; Chelsea winning the last meeting, also at the Bridge, 3-1.

In Chelsea's 4 matches this October, Tuchel's team has scored 15 goals and conceded just 1.

The Blues have lost in this round of the League Cup in 4 of the last 6 seasons and will be without Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner for this match. Magnificent midfielder N'Golo Kante will return after missing the Norwich game.

Southampton will be without forward Mohamed Elyounoussi, another loss to an attack already struggling without captain James Ward-Prowse, who remains suspended.

While form suggests the Blues should make light work of the Saints, this competition is renowned for delivering surprise results. Still, it's the Blues for us.
