Carlton vs Western Bulldogs match preview

Carlton and the Western Bulldogs have alternated wins since their round 22 clash in 2018.

So if this game sticks to the script of recent results between the 2 teams, it's the Bulldogs' time to shine this game.

The Bulldogs have hit some good form lately, winning their past 3 games and that's seen them make their way into the top 8 for the first time this season.

Carlton comparatively had 3 wins and 1 draw at round 4, sitting second on the table. Now in round 9 they sit eighth after only winning 1 of their last 4 games.

Both teams know how close getting to the finals can be after Carlton lost by only 1 point in the last round of 2022 to miss out.

The Bulldogs only just snuck in to last year's finals series courtesy of Carlton's aforementioned loss.

Even though we haven't reached the halfway point of the season, both teams would want to stay in touch with the top 8 with a win here and keep in finals contention.

We think the Bulldogs' recent form will get them over the line here.
