Carlton are still clinging to faint finals hopes when they take on the young Swans in round 16. Here is how you can watch.

SUMMARY: Blues vs Swans is on Fox Footy. If you already subscribe to Foxtel you're good to go, if not your best option is to stream live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial. This gets you access to all its unique features and 50 additional live sports.

Carlton have shown undeniable improvement this season, but appear destined to fall just short of a top-eight spot. The Blues do have a game in hand, but would likely need to win their final three games, including a final-round clash with the Brisbane Lions, to have any chance.

They take on a Swans side that has largely focused on introducing young talent to senior football in 2020. Their inexperienced squad has shown encouraging signs and while the finals won't be part of this season, they will be hoping play-off action won't be too far away.

When is Carlton Blues vs Sydney Swans?

Part of a Tuesday night double-header in this highly unusual 2020 AFL draw, this clash starts at 8:10pm AEST on 8 September at Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.

Who will win Blues vs Swans?

Carlton's seven-year wait for another finals berth looks very likely to continue. This has been a season of progress, but the goal of play-off football seems a step too far away this time around. If they are any hope at all, they will need a percentage-boosting win over the Swans.

We like the rebuilding job coach John Longmire is doing in the Harbour City and we expect a close contest here, with the Blues just to shade it and grab the four points.
