How to watch Carlton vs Hawthorn AFL live and match preview

Posted: 3 April 2022 9:04 am

Arguably the competition's 2 boom sides face off in a huge Round 3 clash at the MCG this week.

SUMMARY: Carlton vs Hawthorn is only on Fox Footy all around Australia. Unless you're already an existing Foxtel customer, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial.

Carlton were tipped to improve this season and the early evidence suggests they have done just that. 2 highly impressive victories over top rated opponents in Richmond and the Western Bulldogs have Blues fans dreaming big.

Their opponent Hawthorn have been the surprise of the early rounds with a strong Round 1 victory over North Melbourne backed up with a huge result last week against Port Adelaide away from home.

When is Carlton vs Hawthorn?

This contest will take place on Sunday 3 April at 2:10pm AEST (don't forget daylight savings ends this Sunday) at the MCG.

How to watch Carlton vs Hawthorn

Carlton vs Hawthorn match preview

Hawthorn have unearthed some quality young kids in the early rounds, with Josh Ward one such example, slotting into the best 22 seamlessly. Mitch Lewis has been a star up forward as he continues to develop, and confidence is high across the group.

Carlton have kicked 100 points in consecutive matches and would be delighted to see the Charlie Curnow/Harry McKay combination firing up forward. In further good news, gun onballer Adam Cerra should return this week after COVID protocols ruled him out in Round 2.

Carlton look like they've finally arrived and we think they'll confirm that when they go 3-0 on Sunday.
