With a bye last week, the Bulldogs would have been grateful for the extra time off as they had injury concerns. The last time they took the field, they went down 18-6 against the Sharks in atrocious conditions.

Bulldogs vs Rabbitohs match preview
The Rabbitohs need to notch up an easy win vs the lower-ranked Bulldogs, as their run home features matches against 5 teams that are currently ahead of them on the table. They have to pick up points where they can now as they will be very hard to come by in later matches.
That's especially with 4 other teams within 4 points of the Rabbitohs and looking to get into the top 8 themselves. Their Origin reps Damien Cook and Cameron Murray have been named to play, so the Rabbitohs will be close to full strength, especially with Alex Johnston and Mark Nicholls back from injury.
Winning 2 and losing 2 of their last 4 matches, the Bulldogs have been patchy of late. They've pushed some of the comp's top contenders, but have not managed to get over the line. They will be hoping for a win vs the Rabbitohs to put more breathing space between them and the dreaded wooden spoon this season. Bulldogs five-eighth Matt Burton was charged for his part in the brawl in State of Origin game 3, but he's managed only a fine and will be able to play vs the Rabbitohs.
