Synopsis
Imagine every live-action character Will Arnett has ever played blended together in one anthropomorphic horse and you have BoJack Horseman. This story of a washed up equine actor seemed at first to be Netflix's Family Guy or American Dad. However, it's so much more than that. BoJack is eternally chauvinistic and narcissistic, but unlike most sitcoms or cartoons, Bojack's character actually goes through a lot of growth and characterisation over its three seasons, thanks to a strong cast of supporting characters like Alison Brie's Diane, Lisa Kudrow's Wanda and Paul F. Tompkins's Mr. Peanutbutter.
It's not exactly what you would expect from a bizarre comedy about talking animals, but that's what you get with BoJack.

BoJack Horseman is an animated comedy that will make you both laugh and cry, often in a span of only a couple of minutes. The series, a Netflix original production, premiered back in 2014 and is still going strong, constantly being praised by critics and enjoying a loyal cult following.
The show, which occurs in a world where human and anthropomorphic animals live side by side, follows BoJack, an actor who used to star in a popular sitcom in the 90s. Presently he's struggling to make a comeback and decides to hire a ghostwriter to help him write a tell-all memoir that will hopefully put him in the spotlight again. The cast includes Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Amy Sedaris, Aaron Paul and Paul F. Tompkins.
The show is brimming with visual gags and wacky jokes, but is also willing to take risks by embracing serious subjects like depression, asexuality, Me Too and alcoholism. Plus, BoJack Horseman is a hilarious parody of life in Hollywoo (the "D" from the Hollywood sign is missing), with prominent guest stars including Margo Martindale, Jessica Biel, Paul Giamatti, Zach Braff, Paul McCartney and Felicity Huffman.
