The 2020/21 season has not gone to plan for either the Perth Scorchers or Melbourne Renegades. They are sitting second-last and last respectively with one win apiece. That's particularly surprising in the case of the Scorchers, who are the most successful franchise in BBL history.
Coach Adam Voges admitted he was feeling the heat after Perth was rolled for just 94 against the Adelaide Strikers. "There's always pressure in this level of sport and particularly in T20 cricket, it's a high-pressure environment," Voges said. "Our performances haven't been up to scratch for the last period and we haven't started this tournament well."
