The Big Bash League's 2 most successful teams collide in a blockbuster 2020/21 final.

SUMMARY: Sixers vs Scorchers is on Channel 7 and Fox Cricket, so you can watch on free-to-air or on Fox Sports. However, if you need to stream the match you can't watch via 7Plus meaning your best option is Kayo Sports. You can watch on Kayo Sports for no cost using this 14-day free trial.

Tournament organisers will be thrilled with this match-up between BBL heavyweights the Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers. With two titles, the defending champion Sixers are the second most successful team in BBL history, behind only the Scorchers (three titles).

The teams have taken wildly different paths to the final. The Sixers cruised through the regular season and finished minor premiers before smashing the Scorchers by 9 wickets in the qualifier final. Perth, meanwhile, were winless in their first four games before getting hot. After stumbling against the Sixers, the Scorchers thrashed Brisbane Heat by 39 runs on Thursday to advance to the final.

BBL Final start time

The big decider at the Sydney Cricket Ground starts at 7:40pm AEDT on Saturday 6 February. The ground will also have plenty of atmosphere as officials have allowed 75% capacity for the finale.

History of Sixers vs Scorchers

As you might expect between two BBL powerhouses, the ledger is close. The Sixers have won 8 games to the Scorchers' 11. The Sixers also beat the Scorchers in the first ever BBL Final, with a bowling attack that featured Brett Lee and Stuart MacGill.

Who will win the BBL Final?

Bookmakers can't split them and the nature of T20 makes predictions difficult. But we'll give the Sixers a slight edge on the basis of superior preparation and some extra home ground knowledge. Sixers Test stars Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon have elected not to play in this year's final.
