Australia crashed to earth against England last weekend, can they bounce back against a battling Bangladesh outfit?

SUMMARY: Australia vs Bangladesh is on Fox Cricket. Unless you're already a Foxtel customer, your best option is to watch live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial.

Bangladesh entered this tournament full of confidence having smacked Australia 4-1 in a recent T20 series.

However, that hasn't translated into the World Cup with 4 heavy defeats, including a recent clash with South Africa where they were bowled out for just 84.

Australia looked good in their opening matches with wins over South Africa and Sri Lanka, but they copped a belting at the hands of tournament favourites England last weekend.

When is Australia vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup?

Who will win Australia vs Bangladesh?

Bangladesh vs Australia - Last 5 meetings

These sides played a 5-match T20 series in August with Bangladesh dominating the visitors to claim it 4-1. Australia's highest score across all 5 matches was just 7/121 with an average of 102.6 per match. Bangladesh's spin-heavy attack hasn't translated into the World Cup though with 4 losses on the trot.

Australia looked vulnerable with the bat in their opening 2 games despite winning both of them, but that vulnerability was exposed significantly when they faced England last week. The tournament favourites dismantled Australia easily, with Aaron Finch the only top 6 batsman to show any resistance with a stylish 44.

Bangladesh are out of contention in the tournament but they'd love nothing more than to send Australia packing and in the process avoid a winless campaign. Australia must win and they do appear to have enough game breakers on paper to secure the result and keep their tournament alive.
