Posted: 20 March 2021 11:13 am

Last year's beaten grand finalists Geelong take on the 2020 wooden spooners Adelaide on Saturday afternoon. This is how to watch.

SUMMARY: Crows vs Cats is on Fox Footy. If you already subscribe to Foxtel you're good to go, if not your best option is to stream live on Kayo Sports. You can watch for free using this 14-day trial. This gets you access to all its unique features and 50 additional live sports.

The Crows are out for redemption after collecting the wooden spoon last year. They will be desperate to avoid a repeat of last season when they started the campaign with 13 straight losses under rookie coach Matthew Nicks.

The Cats will still be hurting from their grand final loss at the Gabba, where they led at half-time only to be run down by a Dustin Martin-inspired Richmond. This weekend the big storyline will be the new combination between Cats recruit Jeremy Cameron and Tom Hawkins up front.

When is Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats?

The opening bounce for Adelaide vs Geelong is at 4:35pm AEDT at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 20 March.

Adelaide Crows vs Geelong Cats: Head-to-Head

Adelaide vs Geelong prediction

It's difficult to see the classy Cats letting this match slip. Even without retired club legend Gary Ablett, Geelong have strike power all over the park. Captain Joel Selwood has backed star forwards Cameron and Hawkins to spearhead the club's premiership campaign this year.

On the positive side for the Crows, they start the season at home in Adelaide but that won't be enough to save them. Adelaide should be an improved prospect and finished 2020 strongly. But Cats by plenty in this one.
