Where to watch 2018 MotoGP live streams
Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix is the premier championship of motorcycle racing. In 2018, Australian fans can catch the races live on free-to-air as well as stream every practice, qualifying session and race.
The 2018 MotoGP season will kick off this March in Doha, Qatar for the Qatar Grand Prix. During the season, riders will travel all around the world, including to Italy, France, Thailand and Australia, before wrapping up in November with the Valencian Community Grand Prix in Spain.
The Grand Prix of Qatar, scheduled between 16-18 March, is one of the most spectacular events on the MotoGP calendar. The action takes place at night under the floodlights of the Losail International Circuit, which sits around 30 km outside Doha, the exciting capital city of Qatar. The country has hosted the season opening race on the MotoGP calendar ever since 2007.
Next on the calendar, motorsport fans can tune in for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Argentina (6-8 April) and the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas (20-22 April).
Where to stream MotoGP races live
This year, ONE will continue to broadcast races live and free every round, including the qualifying and championship races for the Australian round of the MotoGP World Championship, held at Victoria’s Phillip Island in October. Moreover, every MotoGP will be available via live streaming on tenplay, also free of cost.
However, if you want in-depth access to everything MotoGP, Foxtel remains your best bet. Fox Sports will broadcast not only every race, but also every practice and qualifying session. If you have Foxtel, you can stream all the motorsport content you want on mobile devices with the Foxtel app, included for free in your subscription.
Alternatively, motorsport fans without Foxtel can subscribe to Foxtel Now, the telco’s streaming platform. This allows you to watch content from your favourite channels live and also catch-up on demand with anything you might have missed. Fox Sports is included in the Sport Pack, which costs $29/month. However, this is a Premium Pack, so you also need a Starter Pack to be able to add sports to your subscription. Starter Packs cost from $10/month. You can choose between Lifestyle, Kids, Docos, Drama and Pop. Consequently, to stream MotoGP events with Foxtel Now, you have to pay at least $39/month.
The service is available on several devices, such as smartphones, tablets, computers, streaming boxes, PS4 and Chromecast/Airplay. Plus, there’s a 10-day free trial available for anyone who wants to give the platform a spin.
