Volvo EOFY offers

Volvo is a Swedish car brand, synonymous with safety and family-friendly vehicles. You can thank Volvo for inventions like:

  • The three-point seatbelt (for which Volvo relinquished patent rights to, making it available to other car brands)
  • The rear-facing child seat
  • Side curtain airbags
  • Blind-spot monitoring

Several of its models are available as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and the carmaker hopes to sell half electric cars and half hybrids by the year 2025.

In this year's EOFY car offers, we found you could save up to $14,170 on a new or company demonstrator Volvo.

Volvo Australia range

Six different models form the Volvo Australia range. Volvo builds the luxury S60 sedan, legendary wagons like the V60, a sort of cross-over wagon in the V90, as well as three SUVs: the XC90, XC60 and XC40.

How, then, can you narrow down your decisions to just one model? We've put together an introduction to the Volvo line-up. Finder's Chris Stead got to review a Volvo S60 T5. Alex Jeffs, Finder's resident car tester, had a hands-on with the Volvo XC40, saying:

...the Volvo was comfortable, classy and enjoyable to drive.

We ranked the Volvo V90 Cross Country as one of the best cars for dog owners. We've also written a guide covering Volvo finance options.

Make your money go further

Just because thousands of dollars have been taken off these cars, you should still try bartering with the dealer to get more money knocked off.

Have a trade-in? Make sure you get the absolutely best price for your old car.
Before you go to the dealer's website, take a few minutes to compare car loans; often you'll find there are hundreds of dollars' difference between the least and most costly finance agreements.
