Woolworths has launched its own range of skincare products
The brand called Voeu is designed to offer a luxury experience at an affordable price point.
It's easy to pick up decent and affordable makeup at the supermarket. Woolworths stocks top-rated drugstore brands such as Rimmel and Maybelline that are known for both quality and affordability.
But it's not that easy to find good skincare on the shelves of a grocery store. Many brands such as Neutrogena, Garnier and Clearasil have a clear focus towards treating teenage skin. The brands and products that do cater to normal or mature skin retail for over $30 per product and many seem to lack any active ingredients with anti-ageing benefits such as antioxidants or retinol.
Woolworths is attempting to change this with its new skincare brand Voeu. The products in this range are priced between $1.50 and $8.00 and have been designed to be "luxury" skincare.
According to Woolworths, the range has been scientifically designed and dermatologically tested, two features that aren't so much selling points but expectations of any skincare brand.
The real selling point comes from the inclusion of ingredients such as liquorice root, which helps to brighten skin and can be found in products like the Napoleon Perdis Multi-Hydration Gel Cream, pink pepper, which is a natural fragrance used in products like Molton Brown body cream, and Japanese cedar extracts, which have been thought to help with skin regeneration and can be found in brands like Grown Alchemist.
The Voeu range includes day, night and eye creams for different skin types and also cleansers, micellar water and face wipes. You can head to Woolworths online to check out the range on sale now.
