Vodafone rolls out its Google Pixel 3 contract plans
Pre-orders for the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are now open with Vodafone on 12-month, 24-month or 36-month contracts.
Google's announcement of its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones at its recent "Made By Google" event might have been tarnished slightly by all the leaks that preceded it, but there was one exciting tidbit that hadn't been spoiled early: Telstra is no longer the only Australian telco offering the new Pixel handsets on contract. Though it wasn't revealed on stage, both Vodafone and Optus will stock the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL when they launch on 1 November.
Since news of this broke, all three telcos have released pricing information on their Pixel 3 plans and opened up pre-orders for customers keen on securing themselves one of the flashy flagship handsets. Vodafone was the last of the three to go live with pre-orders, having just opened them up at the time of writing.
As with most handsets purchased through Vodafone, you can pick up either the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL on a 12-month, 24-month or 36-month contract. Unlike Optus or Telstra, though, Vodafone doesn't lock you into any of its Red phone plans – you can cancel at any time without penalty. The only catch is that you'll need to pay off the remaining cost of your Pixel 3 handset in full, all at once.
