Vodafone double data deal: Who qualifies for an extra 40GB?
Vodafone's regular 40GB for $40 promotion was good but its new 80GB for $40 EOFY deal is greater.
We like an EOFY deal as much as the next person but we absolutely love an early EOFY offer.
Until 30 June 2022, Vodafone is giving you bonus data on its $40 Lite Plan and $40 SIM Only Lite Plan so you can get 80GB to use each month you stay on either of these plans.
How does it work?
Vodafone has always given an extra 30GB of data on its $40 10GB plans, but this time it's sweetening the data allowance and offering an extra 70GB on top of its normal plan inclusion. That's a total of 80GB for $40 per month.
And the best bit? It will cost you zip, zero, nothing! How good is that?
You can get the offer by signing up to a phone plan or its SIM only plan if you're looking to BYO handset.
What's included?
Signing up with Vodafone comes with additional perks and features, such as:
- Infinite data. Once you reach your maximum data allowance of 80GB, you can keep using infinite data at speeds of up to 2Mbps.
- Access to its 5G network. You'll need to check if it's available in your area.
- 3 months of Amazon Music Unlimited. After 3 months, it'll cost $11.99 a month to keep the subscription. (Offer ends 23 August 2022 and must be redeemed within 30 days of purchase.)
- International roaming. For an additional $5 per day.
Can I get this deal if I'm an existing Vodafone customer?
If you're already on the $40 Lite Plan, you won't be eligible for double the data unless you sign up for an additional service or upgrade your handset plan.
Fortunately, signing up for additional service is as simple as it sounds.
If you have a partner or child who might be on the lookout for a new phone plan, they can take advantage of the offer. This way you can share your data on the 1 account.
In the case of upgrading your handset plan, you will need to buy a new phone through Vodafone.
For example: Let's assume you're an iPhone 11 customer on a $40 plan. You can buy an iPhone 13 this week and take advantage of the double data EOFY deal.
