Vodafone adds 3.5GB bonus data to prepaid combo recharges
Not just for the next recharge, but up to ten of them for a hefty extra 35GB.
The prepaid mobile plan space has always been a heavily contested one in Australia, and Vodafone's latest deal is one that could well turn a few heads.
If you opt in before 31 January 2018, any prepaid combo recharge of $40 or more will get its stated data value plus a "bonus" 3.5GB per recharge, up to a maximum of 10. The deal will run through to 15 November 2018, which means there's a potential 35GB of additional data up for grabs for new or existing Vodafone prepaid combo customers.
The move comes as competitor telco Virgin Mobile this week abruptly removed all of its prepaid plan offerings, preferring instead to only offer postpaid month to month and 12-month SIM-only plans.
How can an existing Vodafone prepaid combo customer get the bonus data?
Vodafone is offering the promotion on an opt-in basis to its customers. To qualify, you have to text '35' to 1263 before 31 January 2018, at which point your next recharge will qualify for the bonus data deal, as long as that recharge is at least $40.
