Take a ride under these bright lights.

Luna Park made its debut at Vivid Sydney in 2018 and this year it's back with more carnival fan fare.

There are two big light displays to capture your attention in 2019. The first is the Ferris Wheel which has been fitted with 3,000 LED lights and plays 3 light shows throughout the night.

The other is at Coney Island which will feature a projected animation on the history of Luna Park called Spirit of Fun.

To add to the atmosphere, roving street performers decked to the nines in LED lights will entertain and regale carnival goers, and select carnie dishes have been given a good ol' Vivid makeover. This includes Vivid fries and its special rainbow-coloured sauce.

All your favourite rides and games will be at play throughout the festival – as well as a new introduction: Volaré. It's the first new permanent ride in five years and it's a thrilling family-friendly wave swinger. Other rides open during the festival are Hair Raiser which plummets you from 50 metres high at a speed of 80km per hour, Tango Train a dizzyingly fast-paced spinner which has recently been renovated and Carousel, there to win the hearts and imaginations of children young and old.

The park is open from 6pm-10pm daily throughout Vivid Sydney. It's free to enter with ride passes starting from $10.
