These Virgin Australia fares at a glance

  • OK flexibility: Like most other airlines, Virgin has scrapped flexible fares. However, if you are affected by COVID-19 in the week before your trip, you might be eligible for a fee-free flight change.
  • Great airline: Earlier this year Virgin Australia was called out as one of best airlines in the world by AirlineRatings. It offers Lite seat-only fares and full-service fares to meet different budgets.
  • Great frequent flyer points: Velocity members can earn 5 points for every $1 spent in this sale. That's at least 225 points earned on the cheapest leg.
  • Great travel time: Say goodbye to transit times. All flights in this sale are direct.
  • Great weather: Flights are available in the middle of summer (January and February) through to autumn. These are some of the best times to holiday around Australia and New Zealand. Expect buckets of sunshine and long days. If you've got your eye on the South Pacific, fair warning: November to April is the wet season in Vanuatu and Fiji. Our advice?
