You can book these new flights from today with Virgin Australia.

Don't forget flights between 1 October 2021 and 31 March 2022 are eligible to earn double status credits, no need to opt-in.

"Virgin Australia continues to look for new ways to expand our network schedule to create more travel opportunities for Australians where free movement across borders is permitted. That's why we're proud to announce the launch of services between Hobart, and Adelaide and Perth in time for Christmas," said Virgin Australia Group chief strategy and transformation officer, Alistair Hartley.

The new routes follow 2 launches earlier this month which linked Launceston to Perth and Adelaide.

This brings the total number of seats available from Virgin between Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia to 18,000 a month.

How good are these Virgin sale fares?

Virgin's Adelaide to Hobart fares are the cheapest for the month of October beating Jetstar's price of $90 by 45%.

Virgin has the cheapest flights again on the Perth to Hobart route narrowly beating Qantas' price of $163. However, keep in mind that a Qantas fare has significantly more perks including checked baggage, seat selection and meals. Although the chance to earn double status credits might be worth it for some.

It goes to show that when you compare flights with KAYAK you can find yourself a real bargain.

These Virgin Australia Tasmania flights are on sale until 11:59 AEST 26 September 2021, unless sold out prior.
