Does Virgin Australia do Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Yes, Virgin Australia has Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

This year, Virgin Australia started its sale early on Thursday 24 November. The sale runs throughout Cyber Weekend and on Cyber Monday, ending at 11:59pm AEDT 29 November.

Prices start from $55 for one-way domestic flights and $489 return for international flights.

How do these Virgin Australia Black Friday deals compare to other deals and previous years?

This year's sale is a little pricier than last year's – but that's inflation for you.

In 2021, the airline took domestic flights down to $49 each way whereas prices start from $55 each way this year.

International fares are in a similar vein. They're slightly more expensive, but not that much.

For example, in 2020 flights to New Zealand were $469 return – now they're $489 return.

In 2020, Virgin also had flights to Bali and Fiji from $479 return.
