Vietnam flights from $404 return

Jetstar is making holiday planning particularly difficult with a whole heap of international destinations on sale. But we’ve spotted some particularly great prices to Vietnam over the dry season that are worth a look.
If you get in before word gets out, then you can find cheap flights to Ho Chi Minh City from Sydney from as low as $209 each way (or $404 return if you book through Flight Centre) or Melbourne for $219 each way ($420 return). Fares are for select dates between March and September.
How good are these fares?
Price wise, these are not the cheapest fares we’ve seen. One-way flights can get as low as $159 each way with Jetstar. But, these fares are available during Vietnam's dry season, which is often excluded from sale fares.
March and April are Vietnam’s driest months so you can expect a hot and dry climate without that sticky humidity.
Vietnam has an exotic mix of Chinese, Southeast Asian and French influences and you can expect your choice of festivals during the year. Holiday goers this year are in luck as the biannual Hue Festival is on from Friday, 27 April. You can also expect many more cultural festivities during August and September.
Flights are return in economy and do not include checked bags or meals on board, but these can be purchased during the booking process for an additional fee.
