2 days only: Virgin drops largest-ever Velocity promotion with millions of seats on offer
Summer just got a whole lot hotter thanks to this Reward Seat frenzy.
For 2 days only, Virgin Australia has completely thrown out the rule book and is letting Velocity members redeem their points on any available economy seat on flights departing between 1 December 2021 and 31 March 2022.
Forget Black Friday (for now). This might be Velocity's biggest promotion to date. All up, there are 5 million economy seats up for grabs.
The best part? There are no blackout dates.
You read that right. Those coveted school holidays, Christmas, New Year and even Australia Day dates are all on the table.
Reward Seats will be available for as little as 7,800 points plus fees, taxes and carrier charges.

Here's an idea of what you can score based on a one-way economy Reward Seat:
- Sydney to Gold Coast: 7,800 points
- Melbourne to Sydney: 7,800 points
- Brisbane to Adelaide: 11,800 points
- Melbourne to Perth: 17,800 points
- Perth to Sydney: 17,800 points
- Gold Coast to Melbourne: 11,800 points
- Melbourne to Cairns: 17,800 points
This is a book fast situation, as we're expecting seats to sell quickly, especially if you're looking to grab one of the summer holiday dates. You've got until midnight Tuesday 23 November to book.
Thankfully, you won't have to think too hard about when to book. Virgin Australia is continuing to offer booking flexibility for points bookings so you can change or cancel these fares with no fees.

What other offers does Virgin Australia have?
As if the deal wasn't sweet enough, Velocity members will get a 20% discount with Points Booster when they purchase between 1,000 and 100,000 Points between now and 17 December. You'll be able to top up your points balance if you're not quite there yet to get to your next reward faster.
