Earn 6,000 bonus Velocity Points and Status Credits on overseas flights

Fly overseas with Virgin Australia's partners such as Singapore Airlines and Etihad Airways and reap the rewards.
Virgin Australia has launched an exciting bonus offer for Velocity members today.
The bonus includes up to 6,000 bonus Velocity Points and 60 Status Credits when travelling with the following partner airlines:
- Delta Air Lines
- Singapore Airlines
- Etihad Airways
- Air Canada
- Hawaiian Airlines
The bonuses are as follows:
Class | Bonus Points | Bonus Status Credits |
---|---|---|
Economy | 2,000 | 20 |
Premium Economy | 4,000 | 40 |
First Class/Business Class | 6,000 | 60 |
Virgin's timing is spot on with more airlines resuming international flights each week, including Hawaiian Airlines which will restart LA flights from 15 December.
At the moment, Singapore Airlines and Scoot are the only 2 airlines approved for the vaccinated travel lane (VTL) into Singapore. Better yet, Singapore Airlines has flights to Europe and Asia on sale until 18 November.
Get your bonus points in 3 easy steps
- Activate the offer by 12 December 2021.
- Book an eligible partner airline flight.
- Travel between 1 December 2021 and 30 June 2022.
What other offers does Virgin Australia have?
Considering the state of travel over the past 2 years, it's hardly been a better time to be a Velocity Frequent Flyer.
In the last 2 months, Virgin has extended status for eligible Gold and Platinum members until 28 February 2023 (although there are a few conditions) and started offering bonus Status Credits on all its own flights.
That offer is valid from now until 31 March 2022. Economy bookings earn double Status Credits while Business bookings get up to 45% more. There's no opt-in or activation requirement either. The bonus is applied automatically to existing and new bookings.
For the first time in over a decade, you can also earn Status Credits on Reward flights. Like the double Status Credits promotion, the offer is valid on new and existing bookings until 31 March 2022.
Finder's travel expert Alex Keshen said, "With Australia's borders opening up, this could be a great opportunity for Velocity members to earn extra points and Status Credits to make up for the last 18 months."
