Velocity adds complimentary lounge passes to bonus transfer deal
Transfer more than 100,000 points to your Velocity account to score bonus points and two Virgin Lounge passes.
After extending its bonus points transfer bonanza from the end of May to 10 June 2018, Velocity has announced the cherry on top of its already rewarding deal. When you transfer reward points from partnered programs (including flybuys, bank rewards and hotel rewards) to your Velocity account this month, you can score between 15% and 40% bonus points. But if you move enough points to get 100,001 Velocity Points or more, you’ll also receive two single entry Virgin Australia Lounge passes.
In Australia, you can visit Virgin Australia Lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Mackay, Cairns, Gold Coast, Darwin and Alice Springs domestic airports. The exact perks vary from lounge to lounge, but you can generally expect complimentary food and beverages including buffet meals, freshly-made barista coffee and a fully-stocked bar.
If you’re travelling for business and want to stay productive in the lounge, you can also take advantage of individual work stations, complimentary Wi-Fi, plenty of device charging ports and private meeting rooms which are available to book.

Virgin Australia Lounge single entry passes usually set guests back $65, so it’s an easy way to score a bargain if you’re already transferring your points.If you’re not already across Velocity’s bonus points transfer, the bonus percentage for card transfers is based on the number of Velocity Points you'll earn after you've made the transfer. Transfers that earn between 1 and 100,000 Velocity Points get a 15% bonus. To nab the 40% bonus, you'll need to make a transfer that earns you 750,000 or more Velocity Points.

Card partners taking part in the promotion include American Express, NAB, Citi, BOQ, Suncorp Bank, HSBC and Diners Club. Meanwhile, transfers from flybuys, ANZ Rewards, ANZ Business Rewards and hotel partners offer a 20% bonus on Velocity Points earned during the promotional period.
