What is VelasPad?
VelasPad is the first cryptocurrency launchpad developed for the Velas blockchain. Developed as a blockchain incubator the project aims to offer all users access to the very best projects being developed within the new Velas blockchain ecosystem.
Built using the Solana codebase, the Velas blockchain implements an innovative custom-built AI-powered proof-of-stake (AIDPOS) consensus, which is designed to support the next generation of dApps. As a layer-1 blockchain, Velas can support more than 50,000 transactions per second (TPS) and can react and adapt to changes in network load automatically. With this cutting edge blockchain infrastructure, VelasPad wants to generate funding for the next generation of dApp developers while democratising access for all users.
According to the project's website, the native cryptocurrency, VLXPAD, was developed as a deflationary token to help support the overall VelasPad ecosystem. The token must be used for all transactions that take place within VelasPad and must also be staked for a user to gain access to different allocation tiers.
