If you're on the hunt for an ecological and sustainable running shoe, you need to hear about the new Condor from VEJA.

Sustainable and ethical fashion label VEJA has just dropped the first ecological running shoe. It's called the Condor and you need it immediately – run don't walk! Recently we've seen the Venturi, the first chunky dad sneaker from the brand, as well as the funky collaboration with Lemaire. We were obsessed with both so there's no reason we wouldn't love the brand new sneaker style!

Release date: 20 September – you can shop it right now!

Price: $200

Where to shop: VEJA store. If you're interested in the rest of the range from the brand, you can check out some of our favourite stockists like THE ICONIC, Farfetch and Net-a-Porter.

What's so special about these sneakers? Well, this particular shoe took around four years of research and development. This is the first kind of running shoe we've seen from VEJA and it's definitely a fabulous first step in the right direction! It's the perfect balance of organic materials and running optimisation.

In particular, the shape is inspired by the South American Condor bird. It features biometric design, ultimate flexibility and a degree of lightness that is extremely efficient for running. The style is 53% natural-based and recycled. The outsole, midsole, upper inserts, upper and insole are all made of great materials such as recycled plastic bottles, rice waste and wild rubber from Amazonia.

There are six statement colourways to choose from, so whatever your style, you can find something to suit you!
