Valentine’s Day flight deals: Beach getaways and Asian adventures from $39

The Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Cathay Pacific flight sales that make for the perfect last-minute Valentine's Day present.

Heads up lovers. We're one day from Valentine's Day and if you haven't bought your other half that winning present yet there's still time - especially when you choose an experience like a getaway to an island paradise or an exotic Asian location.

If this is the kind of present you've got your eye on you've a wealth of choice waiting for you as various airlines are offering flight deals you can purchase within minutes.

We've rounded up the best here so you here so you really will have that winning present this year.

Jetstar Beach Getaways sale

Jetstar's Beach Getaways sale is jetting you and your partner to some of the sunniest destinations in its network this Valentine's Day. These include local favourites such as Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Hamilton Island as well as romantic international locales such as Phuket, Bali and Honolulu.

Prices start from $45 one-way. This is for the Ballina Byron to Sydney route. Other fares include Sydney to Phuket from $189 one-way, Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Whitsunday Coast (Proserpine) from $99 one-way and Gold Coast to Honolulu from $320 one-way.

These sale flights are for various dates from 12 March 2017 to 30 November 2017 and include economy and business seats.

As Jetstar is a low-cost carrier, these fares do not include checked-baggage or on-board meals, which can be purchased for an additional fee.

The Jetstar Beach Getaways sale has ended.

Virgin Australia Love at First Flight sale

Virgin Australia's Love at First Flight sale takes you to a handful of international destinations in both economy and business seats for less. Only a select few destinations are included in this sale. These are Bali, Fiji, Samoa, Rarotonga and Tonga.

Sample fares are Sydney to Fiji (Nadi) from $249 one-way, Brisbane to Bali from $309 one-way and Melbourne to Rarotonga from $259 one-way.

For those who wish to spoil their partner with a luxurious business class seat, fares start from $489 one-way. This is for the Port Hedland to Bali (Denpasar) route.

These sale flights are for various dates from 25 February to 21 September 2017. School holiday periods are excluded.

Checked baggage is included in international short haul flights such as to Bali and Fiji but not on Trans-Tasman flights to New Zealand.

The Love at First Flight sale ends at midnight 22 February 2017 unless sold out prior.

Cathay Pacific Valentine's Day sale

Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific is marking the romantic occasion with discounted companion fares to over 60 cities in Asia. Companion fares are for two or more travellers with prices starting from $634 per person.

Single fares are also available with prices starting from $715 per person.

Sample routes in this sale include Perth to Beijing from $634 return, Melbourne to Wuhan from $638 and Adelaide to Shanghai from $640. Other destinations this sale can take you to are Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Myanmar, Maldives, Singapore and Indonesia.

These flight prices are for departures from 16 February to 6 April 2017, 25 April to 25 June 2017 and 17 July to 13 November 2017. Discounted flights are available on economy, premium economy and business seats.

Checked baggage and on-board meals are included in these flight prices.

Cathay Pacific's Valentine's Day sale ends at 11:59 AEDT on 23 February 2017.
