Prepare to be distorted by Urban Decay’s new eyeshadow palette
Get ready to layer your shades for a multidimensional blend that will have everyone looking twice.
When we think distortion we think edgy and trippy colours – and the new Urban Decay Distortion eyeshadow palette is just that! With a range of fifteen shades including five iridescent pigments to pop on top for added dimension, the palette is sure to satisfy everyone.
With distorted packaging that will dazzle your eyes, this is one of Urban Decay's boldest palettes yet, and that's saying something considering the popularity of the Naked palettes!
Announced on the Urban Decay Instagram, the palette really emphasises transformation. Whether it's switching up your look or transforming the colours themselves by adding the extra pigment, you're definitely spoilt for choice.
The shades include the five shift shades (the gold tones Bleach, green toned Shifty, blue toned Space, lavender toned Mind Game and pink toned Blur), four metallic shades (the burnt orange First Offense, medium blue 5.0, deep bronze Territorial and smoky grey Old Smoke), two shimmer shades (the purple toned Rogue and vivid pink Trash Talk), three shades that include micro-sparkle (the green satin finish of Hot Box, the metallic silver of Shag and the metallic burgundy of Velvet), and one matte black shade named Blackout.
Our favourite shades are Velvet and Blur – the burgundy with gold flecks of micro-sparkle and the gorgeous pink shift shade are definite standouts. We're also keen to experiment with the other shift shades, to see how distorted they can really be! Space seems like a great shade to highlight the inner corner of your eye, so it's one to look out for too.
Though we haven't found an official release date, we're hanging out hope that we'll see it before Christmas! Urban Decay, it feels almost like you're punishing us with this wait – and we're still waiting for some of the other goodies you promised this year, like the Afterglow highlighter palette, All Nighter concealer and Heavy Metal eyeshadow palette.
But don't worry beauty lovers, because the rest of the Urban Decay line is already available at MECCA, and we're sure it won't be too long now until the new products hit our shores down under.
