Up to 50% off flights to select AirAsia destinations
Plus, get up to 20% off premium flatbeds and 20% off Pick A Seat.
There are so many discounts running around with AirAsia's flights at the moment that we're honestly a little giddy – in all the best ways.
The biggest one is an overall winner with up to 50% off flights across most of the budget airline's network. That's 50% off flights to New Zealand, 50% off flights to South-East Asia and so many more.
Looking at the prices, we're seeing flights from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur down from $266 each way to $183.50 in May. Flights from Perth to Bali are down from $175 each way to $132 each way and Gold Coast to Auckland flights down from $174 to $144.50.
If the numbers don't look like they match up that's because the discount is on AirAsia's base fares only. You'll still have to pay full price for airport fees and any other fees incurred during booking such as booking and credit card fees.
During booking you'll also find you can nab a clean 20% off all premium flatbeds, giving you the chance to fly luxuriously through the skies for a fifth off the cost. If you'd prefer to save a little bit of cash but still stretch out, you can instead take advantage of the up to 20% off Pick A Seat option enabling you to save on one of the roomier or better placed seats in all classes outside of the premium flatbed section for yourself.
Eligible travel dates for this sale are between now and 31 October. This includes peak dates such as school holidays, June long weekend and Anzac Day.
This sale runs until 22 April but you can search for your flights now through Skyscanner.
How good are these fares?
At half off, you really can't go too wrong, and with perks such as discounted flat-beds, you'll be living the dream.
Sadly, if you're looking at flights by the numbers, these flights come up pricier than AirAsia's quarterly MEGA sale. When the airline ran this in March we saw Perth to Bali flights from $109 each way (now $23 more each way) and flights from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur from $149 each way, now $34.50 more each way.
If you can't wait for the next MEGA sale to motor its way around or the travel dates are spot on, these still come up very well priced for the routes and the airline. However, if you're not in any hurry, the next MEGA sale is due in winter and could save you that much more on your trip.
