What is Unizen?

ZCX is the native cryptocurrency of the Unizen Smart CeDeFi ecosystem. Designed as an exchange aggregator, Unizen is a blockchain-driven operating system designed to support a wide array of cross-chain exchange applications. By combining both centralised finance (CeFi) and decentralised finance (DeFi) exchanges, trades can be housed, aggregated, executed within Unizen’s ecosystem. The protocol is currently powered by the Binance Cloud - a centralised exchange module, Uniswap - a decentralised exchange module, and SifChain - a second decentralised exchange module. When making use of the network, clients have the option of employing a plethora of centralised as well as decentralised trading products — thereby harnessing the full potential of Unizen's native trade aggregation algorithms.

According to the project’s website, by combining the functionality and liquidity of first and third-party centralised and decentralised exchanges, Unizen can offer trades at the most cost-efficient exchange rates. In addition to cost-efficient exchange rates, the protocol offers reliable performance, high regulatory compliance, and a secure environment capable of handling high-volume trades.

The native cryptocurrency, ZCX, is used for a variety of purposes within the ecosystem. ZCX can be used to reduce trading fees, vote on governance proposals and earn rewards via the platform’s native staking mechanism.
