Get ready for your newest beauty obsession.

This year has been all about having fun with beauty, from the magical rainbow highlighter from bitter lace beauty to Kailijumei's colour changing petal lipsticks. We simply cannot get enough of the quirky and oh-so-pretty products 2016 has produced.

And now to top it off, Tarte Cosmeticshas announced it has created a range of unicorn-inspired makeup brushes. The brand introduced us to these shiny, colourful new brushes yesterday on Instagram and Tarte Cosmetics fans went a little bit mad. The photo currently has over 65,000 likes with over 3000 comments. And it's not hard to see why.

The stunning selection of brushes each has an iridescent pearl-coloured handle that twists into a spiral just like a unicorn horn. The actual brush heads are in different magical marshmallow colours like a fairy-floss toned pink, jelly bean-coloured purple and mermaid-hair shades of blue. They are definitely some of the prettiest makeup brushes we've ever seen.

Although an official release date hasn't been announced Tarte Cosmetics wrote that these brushes will be "flying into your beauty collection in 2017". We'll keep you updated with further details as they come out.

Australian beauties can expect to get these unicorn brushes from Sephora, the current Australian stockist of Tarte Cosmetics. If not you can purchase them directly from the Tarte Cosmetics website which does ship to Australia.

Tarte Cosmetics is a brand dedicated to high-performance natural beauty products. In fact, the Tarte range of mascaras tops the list as an editors' favourite. The beauty products and tools created by Tarte are proudly cruelty free and are formulated without the use of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, gluten and synthetic fragrances. So Tarte Cosmetics is definitely a brand you can feel good about buying.
