Elevate your holiday with a stay in a bed, suspended over the edge of a mountain overlooking a valley in Cusco.

Hotel name: Skylodge Adventure Suites

Where: Cusco, Peru

What’s unique about this property:

Skylodge Adventure Suites offers panoramic views of Sacred Valley in Cuzco from a transparent capsule that hangs from the top of a mountain.

Getting to your room isn’t for the faint of heart as adventurous souls have to climb 400 metres and then hike or zipline to their bed for the night.

Once there, you’re greeted by a luxury capsule complete with a 300 degree view of the valley, your own dining area, bathroom and four beds.

Each of the three exclusive suites are eco-friendly and include a gourmet breakfast and dinner.

What is there to do in the area?

No experience climbing is necessary though half the fun is getting to and from the capsules. Other activities include via ferrata, which is a designated path that scales a mountain. You're tied to a steel cable throughout the entire route, so it's perfect for beginners.

Six ziplines are available to descend the mountain after climbing the 400 metres to your room.
