If you're looking for the best sunscreen this summer, look no further than the huge range available at Ultra Violette.

Why we love this product

If you happen to follow Aussie beauty influencers, you're bound to see this brand pop up on your Instagram feed. Ultra Violette develops sunscreen that seamlessly fits into your skincare routine. The brand likes to call it "a new generation of sunscreen", but is that true? Seeing as the scorching summer season is in full swing, I decided to put it to the test. I tried out one of the most popular products from the range, the Supreme Screen SPF 50+ Hydrating Sunscreen.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? Supreme Screen protects, hydrates and primes your skin for makeup – without breaking you out.

How much is it? $45

Where to buy it? Ultra Violette online and Adore Beauty

I've always found it difficult to find the perfect sunscreen. It needs to easily fit into my skincare routine, not leave a white cast, not make me look too oily, sit well under my makeup and not cause any skin congestion. The list of criteria is pretty long!

But somehow I found one that ticks all the boxes and you need to add to cart immediately.

The Supreme Screen Hydrating Facial Sunscreen is a combination of a moisturiser, primer and SPF. This is perfect for those of us who are a little on the lazy side with their skincare routine. It's suited for all skin types, especially if you need a boost of hydration. The best part? It's a broad spectrum SPF 50+.

Supreme Screen is formulated with Australian Kakadu Plum, which just so happens to be one of the richest sources of vitamin C. The antioxidants protect your skin against free radical damage, improving the tone and texture, and keeping it hydrated. This works with the active ingredient Pentavitin to ensure 72-hour hydration.

It's also got some Dragosine Plus, a powerful anti-aging ingredient. It shields your skin from UVA, UVB and blue light from screens. All of these things work together to avoid skin congestion, which can be a common issue for other sunscreens on the market.

The texture of the sunscreen is what really sold me. It's super lightweight, doesn't feel oily and really blends into my skin seamlessly. There's no white cast and it's got a nude tint that is basically invisible!

I like to use the Supreme Screen every day after my moisturiser and before my foundation. I tend to use about 2 to 3 pumps to cover my whole face. You can also use it in place of your moisturiser, it's hydrating enough to do so, but I just prefer to keep those products separate.

Does the sunscreen actually perform? Oh, yes, with broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. I've been wearing it almost every day this summer and can report that I have not had one burn (not even a tinge of redness)!

I love that it comes in a squeezable tube because it's great for on the go. You can easily throw it into your handbag or beach bag without a worry.

In the past, we've reviewed Ultra Violette's Queen Screen. It worked great, combining elements of a serum and sunscreen in one. The brand also carries a mattifying sunscreen suited to oil skin, as well as a range of protective lip balms.

The Ultra Violette Supreme Screen arrives in a 50mL squeezable tub and it will set you back $45. Considering it's a sunscreen that protects my skin, sits well under my makeup and doesn't break me out, I will definitely be re-purchasing it again and again.

Where to buy

You can shop directly from Ultra Violette online. If you're keen to grab some other products at the same time, I recommend shopping from Adore Beauty. All orders come with a delicious Tim Tam and the shipping is pretty fast.
